Because many locales lack secure structures to house studios, HearME has created self-sustaining, self-contained music studios made from shipping containers, called HearME Hubs. A famous musician will partner with each Hub and for one week each year will participate in creating a song written and produced by the children for the annual HearME album. The Hubs will be painted with murals by talented artists: for example El Corografico’s art is seen in the photo and Kofie of Los Angeles is preparing to paint the next Hub.

We will have an online studio where a child in one country can upload a drum track and a child in another can then lay down a guitar track, and another a vocal track, and so on, until a fantastic international song is created. Through this network we envision a true global potential of music will be realized. They don’t all speak the same language, but music can be these isolated children’s tool for creating a global community.

Lastly, HearME’s online network of thousands of children around the world will be able to share their music through the MAGNET (http://MAGNET.tv) widget, giving access to millions of listeners to music created by youth across global boundaries and genres.
