Compassion fosters gratitude
When I first began this project Jocelyn Marsh came to work with me, through some miracle, and passionately insisted we include Zimbabwe. She worked tirelessly to get the contacts there and created a great relationship with Dorothy Meck whom we later found out had filmed a large choir of children in South Africa singing “Imagine.” It all seemed ordained and magical until we discovered the Trade Embargo with Zimbabwe would prevent our equipment from entering the country. We were devastated but Kevin Jackson never gave up and last month the children in Zimbabwe received their XO laptops. Dorothy filmed them in their excitement and now is working with iEARN in Harare to get them online. It is a great new day.
